Guillermo Toledo (Advisor Forestry Administration)
Mr. Toledo holds a degree in Forestry Engineering from Universidad de Concepción in Chile. He has over twelve-years of experience in the forestry sector, seven of which he spent at Forestal Valdivia S.A., a company in the Arauco Group, where he was responsible for managing and monitoring production of 50.000 ha of pine and eucalyptus as well as natural forest. Mr. Toledo then assumed management responsibility for the Heritage Subdivision in Maderas Condor. His tasks included nursery management, genetics, chemical inputs, and bids preparation for 30.000ha of Pine and Eucalyptus. In 2010 he assumed the position of Forest Manager for Ecoforest Panama, S.A., where his responsibilities spanned general administration, planning, negotiation of wood sales and purchases, harvesting supervision and other operational aspects. At Ecoforest, he oversaw the management of 7,300 ha of land, including over 2,000 ha of planted teak. He held the position of CEO of Panama Forest Services in 2012.
His technical areas of expertise include management of teak plantations, timber investment management, ecological compensation, agro-forestry systems, forestry inventories, and harvesting. He currently serves as Technical Advisor for SilviConsult Panama S.A.
